National Orchestra of Chile
Andrew Gourlay returns to the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile as part of the opening season in Chile’s brand new concert hall, VM20. Gourlay is conducting two weeks of programmes in the new hall, which has been decades in the making. The space has been designed to house rehearsal rooms for the Chilean National Ballet and University choirs, as well as the country’s first large-scale symphonic hall, dedicated to the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Chile.

Bodensee Philharmonie
Andrew Gourlay debuts with the Bodensee Philharmonie (until recently the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz). Performances at venues around Lake Konstanz include works by Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky, plus the jazz-infused concerto for alphorn and orchestra by Daniel Schnyder.

Porto Returns
Following on from recent visits to the Casa da Música, Andrew Gourlay returns to the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música for multiple weeks in both ‘25 and ‘26. Programmes include Pictures at an Exhibition, Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet, and four premieres, including a new concerto from Igor C Silva for improvising soloists and electronics, and the world premiere of the concerto for synthesizer and orchestra by Gabriel Prokofiev.

Glyndebourne premiere
In his debut for Glyndebourne, Andrew Gourlay conducts a brand new opera commission by composer Jonathan Dove and librettist April De Angelis. Uprising looks at the climate emergency through the eyes of those whom it will affect the most. Bringing together professional singers and musicians from the Glyndebourne Sinfonia alongside more than 150 local performers and young people from across the region, Uprising is performed on the main stage at Glyndebourne in March.
